Adopt a Highway Cleanup

Usually done annually in April or May (when snow has melted).

Onota Fire is responsible for cleaning up a stretch of Highway M28 near Shelter Bay.
Fourth of July Parades

You may see us in the Trenary and/or Munising parades (depends on availability of personnel).
Fire Prevention Week

Educating children about fire safety & firefighting

Held in October at AuTrain-Onota School
Throughout its history, Onota Township VFD has hosted and participated in a multitude of community events including pancake breakfasts, dumpster roll-offs, hunter's dinners & raffles, sled dog races, chimney cleaning and horse-pulling days.
